    Pennybridge Pioneers was the bands first album to move away from their ska punk elements in favor of a more alternative rock sound. It was also the band’s first album recorded outside their native country of Sweden, and their first to be certified gold in sales after selling over 35,000 copies in Australia.<\/p>\n

    Its title is derived from the band’s home town of in \u00d6rebro, which jocularly translates to “Pennybridge” in English (“\u00f6re” to “penny” and “bro” to “bridge”). “Fox” and “Penguins & Polarbears” were released as singles with accompanying music videos. “No Cigar” was also released as a single and EP and appeared in the soundtracks of the video games Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, Jeremy McGrath Supercross World and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. “Pepper” was also included in the soundtrack album Music from and Inspired by Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, though it was not included in the game itself.<\/p>\n

    The working title for “A-Ten” was “Plink Song” and for “Hellman” “The Bridge Song”. Mr. Brett said that “A-Ten” needed a solo at the end, so Erik added that solo at the end of the song and it stuck.<\/p>\n

    The guys stayed at a two room apartment at Oak Woods during the recording quite the drive to Hollywood Boulevard where the recording studio was located, so the working title for the album was “Oak Woods”.<\/p>\n

    The band also used Mr. Bretts guitar (the “Red Rocker”) also used at some Bad Religion recordings, moslty for the clearner non distorted parts like the solo for the “Fox” solo played by Erik.<\/p>\n
