Information:
Their debut album released on October 28, 1994 in Sweden by Burning Heart Records under the original title Tiny Tunes.
The album’s title and cover art mimicked the logo of the cartoon television show Tiny Toon Adventures, leading to a copyright infringement lawsuit against the band when the album was re-released in the United States on September 22, 1998 through Epitaph Records.
Warner Bros, the owner of Tiny Toon Adventures, sued the record label and caused the band to change the title and cover art, Erik was on tour at the time and phoned home directing the new art work process at the Burning Heart office in Örebro. They chose the title Same Old Tunes to reflect the fact that the album’s track list had not changed, the band did however change the song title “Disney Time” to “Diznee Time” in fear that The Walt Disney Company would come after them legal action as well
There are some speculation that The Walt Disney Company did in fact initiate legal action which caused the band to change the title, we [The MillenWiki Staff] has not however found any indications of this.
The band also printed t-shirts for the song “Chiquita Chaser” that imitated the logo of Chiquita Brands International, who threatened them with a lawsuit causing them to cease production of the shirts.
The video for “Da Strike” became the first Millencolin video ever. It was directed by Kalle Helgesson and shot at “A-huset” in Örebro, Sweden 1994.
